MDS currently operates approximately 2,000 sq. ft of hosting environment in two equal sized data suites with a further 5,000 sq. ft under development. Key features include:

Physical Security

• Using industry leading systems and software including Cisco firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, etc

• Carrier neutral through BGP4 interface

• Data connectivity to internet or private circuit lines.
• Unique links directly into Vodafone global backbone

Power Management

• Scaleable from 1-10KW.
• Diverse power supply with UPS in all racks
• Rapid initiation standby generators
• Single or 3 phase connectivity

• N+1 air conditioning system with emergency standby arrangements
• Humidity control, fresh air supply & extract

Flood and Fire Mitigation

• VESDA alarms with rack and room level fire suppression (Pyrogen)
• Facility 25m above the water table with no internal water services
• Extensive water drainage channelling and sump collection
