Ross Ancell, Chairman

Ross Ancell is Non-Executive Chairman and significant shareholder of MDS Technologies.

Ross is Chairman and majority shareholder of Churngold, a large Bristol-based construction, waste management and recycling group. He is also a Non-Executive Director of UK-listed housing regeneration group MJ Gleeson Group PLC, and Galaxy Entertainment Group, a Hong Kong quoted casino, hotels and construction materials group.

He was formerly on the Group Executive Board of George Wimpey PLC, and served as Managing Director of Wimpey Minerals and Wimpey Waste Management.

Ross holds a degree in Management Studies, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand.

Phil Dawson, Managing Director

Phil has extensive experience creating and developing new businesses in the internet and wireless markets. Following a management buy-in in October 2006, Phil was appointed Managing Director.

Previous experience includes Global Director of New Ventures/e-Business for GKN Plc where he reported into the Main Board. Roles included non-executive directorship positions in ventures with Global Mobile telecommunications operators, Blue Chip IT Consulting Services and Venture Capital companies as investment partners. Phil has also played an active role in the development of mobile and digital content strategies and services for numerous clients including Hollywood studios (www.ghosthousepictures.com), Location Based Service companies (www.creativitysoftware.net) and safety organisations (www.familysafeplus.com).

Phil has an MBA from London Business School and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Sussex

Richard Tredwin, Finance Director

Richard has responsibility for financial management, compliance and control of MDS as well as for Churngold, a privately owned and managed group of companies with a turnover approaching $130 million (www.churngold.com).

Richard previously experience includes Group Finance Director with Johnsons News Group and a variety of roles at KPMG.

Richard is a qualified Chartered Accountant (A.C.A) and has a B.A (Hons).

Stephen Sykes, Head of Technology & Operations

Stephen co-founded MDS in October 2002. He is responsible for integrating client systems into the MDS infrastructure, defining technical specifications, network architecture and the development and deployment of the service.

Previous experience includes EDS, British American Tobacco, QA Consultancy, ICI, Memorex Telex, Thorn EMI and Plessey.

Stephen has a B.Eng (Hons) in Digital Systems Engineering as well as accreditations with Cisco, Novell and Microsoft.

Gordon Liddle, Implementation & Customer Services Manager

Gordon joined MDS in 2003 and has responsibility from the point a customer has signed a contract. His role is to ensure that all implementations and ongoing services delight our customers and business continuity is a reality. During his career with MDS, Gordon has overseen the co-location of numerous blue chip enterprise projects and applications.

Prior to joining MDS, Gordon worked for Lucent Technologies, AT&T, and Phillips Telecommunications in various capacities.

Gordon has a BSc(Hons) in Computing and a post graduate Diploma in Management from Reading University.
